Digital visuals..

These are digital visualisations for each one of my designs in my collections, i have chosen rooms i think best suit my designs and experimented with colour and effects to aim as though my designs are a part of these rooms to give me an idea of what they look like in actual rooms as designs. In the cad collections i have used more than one of my designs in the three images to play around and find out what looks best suited. For some eg the blinds used with my design 1 i have faded the image so that the sun is shining through, just to give it more of a realistic look!

Taking down our installation..

Camera Model- Lumix

Picture size setting- 1920 times 1080

Ratio size setting- 16:9

How many photographs per camera will you take during the removal of your textile piece/yarn bomb?- 100

What did you learn from the images taken during the installation of your piece and how will this affect the decisions made about the images you will take today? - keep the camera in the same place to avoid a 'jumpy' animation

How frequently will you take photographs?- every 30 seconds as taking it down will be a shorter process

Will you use a tripod or move around the installation or a combination of both?- just a tripod

How will the photographs be shared amongst your team fairly?- change every 5 minutes

Stop motion animation

It is a cinematic process to make standing objects look as if they are moving.

cad visuals

Creating cad visuals is using the experimental work already done and putting that as a visual into a fashion design/interior or even for objects such as accessories eg phone cases,  pencil cases etc. These are two fashion designs i did, although i dont think they worked as well on fashion in comparison to interior.

CAD WORK

I really enjoyed doing all my cad work, it gave me the opportunity to experiment with drawings/paintings/samples i had already done and recreate them in a cad design changing the shapes and creating different patterns, these are all of the designs i did as experimental work following up to my three final cad collections.

Printmaking

I created prints with some stensils i cut out from previous design ideas, these were three of the six prints i made.

Design / Idea development

From the ten previous motifs i created, i made additional designs and idea development which were different to my motifs in the way that i used more media and experimented more with the sewing machine and even scratched at a few samples with a craft knife creating a different type of texture. I really enjoyed creating these samples.

Research into surface pattern designers

On the link above gives you access to Rebecca's full website, the images below are my three favourite collections she has done. I really like the use of colour and how they all seem to have some similarities. It shows a good use of a 'collection'.

Also the link above gives access to Natalie's profile. I really like how she uses prints a lot in her designs, being a printmaker as well gives her that added ability to create her own personal designs and put her stamp on them.
